WHY CHOOSE US
How much does your fencing service in Chelmsford cost?
We are a local Chelmsford based fencing company so our travel costs are small and all our materials are sourced locally. This helps us to keep our costs competitive without sacrificing on quality.
Our pricing is simple! We price per bay/panel of fencing or per meter (whichever is appropriate). Where the fencing job is relatively small we will charge a fixed fee which will help us to absorb travel costs etc.
We know that our prices are competitive for the quality of work that we deliver and we always offer a guarantee for our workmanship.
Will you take my old fence away?
Our quotes will always include taking your existing fencing away, including concrete and wood products. We have a waste carriers licence and all materials are responsibly disposed of.
Do you provide a guarantee?
We provide a ten year guarantee on our workmanship. This does not cover situations beyond our control such as storm damage, accidental damage or any other acts of God.
Are your fencing products treated?
Most fencing products are pressure treated. Typically the treatments leave the wood with a brown or more natural green finish. We would usually expect the wood fencing products to last a minimum of 15 years.
Concrete products are robust and will usually last at least as long as the wood products. It is worth noting that over the years, weathering to the concrete will weaken it. Particularly the effect of freeze/thaw.
Would you recommend wooden or concrete posts?
This will all depend upon your priorities. For easy maintenance of your fence, slotted concrete posts are a good option as panels can be slotted in and out very simply (normally a two person lift).
How high can my fence be?
Under UK law, a solid fence can be 2 meters high without needing to apply for local planning permission. If there is a drop in ground levels, the fence can appear higher.
It is possible to place trellis work on top of a 2m high fence as trellis work is not solid.
How deep are the fence posts concreted into the ground?
All fence posts are generously concreted to a minimum depth of 18 inches to ensure that the fence will last. It is important to us that our excellent reputation for fencing in Chelmsford remains intact and that means the parts of then fence that you can’t see are as important as the parts that you can.
How can I pay?
We can accept payment by one of the following methods for our fencing service in Chelmsford:
- Cash
- Bank transfer
- Paypal
